It's kind of the New Year's Eve of holidays for moms. No matter how much we try, it can never live up to the hype.
Everyone has the best intentions -- celebrate mommy and all she does, let her know how much you love her, make her breakfast-in-bed or take her out to her favorite brunch place and hope the kids sit still long enough for her to enjoy a much-deserved mimosa...It's all very lovely and loving.
But with that comes a lot of pressure -- usually for the husband/dad (or the kids when they're older), but in my case there's pressure for me to make sure it's as awesome as possible. I'm not so skilled at "letting go and letting God," or "letting go and letting Rob."
